Aunt Anita

Dear Family,
Hello from Michigan.  It’s been 8 months since Auke passed away.  My life has changed as I’m sure you all know.  Auke called Tante Ynskje often and would hear the family news and tell you about our news.  My Dutch  is “neit so gut” and it’s hard for me and Ynskje (or anyone else) to stay in touch.

I am doing well—lonely but O.K.  The biggest thing now is—2 weddings this Summer.  Sheri’s son Jared  is getting married on July 26.  He graduated from Hope College and will be working with his dad-Darin-in their business.  They have a store that sells carpet, kitchen cabinets and that kind of thing.  His girlfriend-Sydney-graduated from Calvin College as a nurse.

Sheri’s daughter, Lucy, looks to start her third year of College and is studying business and some other things.  (Oma doesn’t know exactly!)

In August, Tim’s son, Elijah Willem, will marry Jada.  Eli is working in business and Jada will go to school to work in hospital exercise therapy.  They have plans to live in Grand Rapids.
Tim’s daughter. Teagan, is in her second year at Hope College and daughter Kenedy is married and is a social worker.

Ryan’s oldest daughter, Ashley works as a Veterinarian assistant.  Alisa does finger nails and eyelashes.  (She’s very good) and Hunter lives out west and is a ski instructor in the winter and a camp/river leader/guide in the Summer.  Charlie is 13 and makes and sells yarn animals and other things with yarn.

Eric’ daughter is living and working in Oregon but plans to be in South America this Fall and hopes to move to Australia in the new year.  What she will do she will decide when she gets there!  Son Ziggy has 2 years of High Schooll.  He and Eric just rehabbed an old car and drove it to Colorado this Summer.

I am thankful that all the kids and families are well and busy and keep me happy!  They encourage me and fix up my house and I am thankful for each one.  Now you know what is happening here.  It would be fun to see you all again but traveling isn’t much fun anymore!!  I am grateful for all we could do when Auke was still here but life has certainly changed.
Hi to everyone.  Much love from Anita
