Visiting Harke

Yesterday, I visited Uncle Harke in Ten Boer, where he shared stories of his family, including Grandpa Schoonveld. He reminisced about dogs and his school days of wearing a girl’s coat. Reflecting on Sinterklaas, he expressed his disappointment over gifts and the ensuing punishments for lying, which remain vivid memories.

Polling station

I volunteered at a Rotterdam polling station, earning over €100 for 9 hours of work plus e-learning. Serving as deputy chair, they verified voting passes and IDs. Notably, they encountered an energetic 95-year-old voter. The station, in Ommoord, reflected the neighborhood's older demographic and diverse origins.
